University of Queensland Case Study in Detail
Scope of Works

Skyline provides services that includes, Turf Maintenance, Garden Maintenance, Heritage Rose and Azalea maintenance, treatment of pest and disease in turf and gardens across most properties in the portfolio, broad acre turf maintenance and spraying, litter collection, firebreak maintenance, environmental area maintenance, maintenance of equestrian arenas and training yards, maintenance of quarantine areas and residential maintenance including cleaning of external structures.

Transition Process

Skyline transitioned smoothly onto The University of Queensland portfolio approaching the turf and landscape with fresh eyes. This was assisted greatly by our proven capability of successfully taking over from some of the most recognised landscape companies on contracts such as Metro South Hospitals Portfolio, Lend Lease and Stockland Developments, Rosecorp’s Breakfast Point and Sydney Olympic Park.

Outcome

Skyline has entered the extension period of the Landscape Maintenance contract and as the contract progressed Skyline’s portfolio of work has expanded to include works that were previously being conducted by other contractors or in house resources.

Skyline has established an excellent working relationship with each of the University representatives for each site ensuring that we are working in with any onsite staff and we are aware of upcoming academic or sporting events that may be occurring. Skyline have experience working in and around Orientation Week, Sporting Events, Examination Periods, Graduations and the general high flow of students, staff, visitors and the public.
