We are thrilled to announce that Green by Nature has been awarded the prestigious parks maintenance contract for the Waitaki District Council in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand.

Commencing on July 1, 2024, this contract marks a significant milestone for our company and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey alongside the wonderful communities within the Waitaki District.

The Waitaki District, known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant communities, is divided into four geographic wards: Ahuriri, Corriedale, Oamaru, and Waihemo, with the charming town of Oamaru serving as the main center. Each of these communities offers unique natural beauty and community spirit, making our role in maintaining their parks and green spaces an honor and a privilege. Our comprehensive contract covers all aspects of park maintenance, ensuring that every corner of these beautiful districts remains pristine and inviting. To achieve this, we have assembled a dedicated and skilled team comprising of a Playgrounds & Asset, Facilities, Mowing, Horticulture, Sports Fields and Response team.

The Waitaki District Council received four tenders from both local and national companies before awarding the contract to Green by Nature. This contract will run for three years, with two further extension options of two years each. Green by Nature NZ Director, Cameron Parr, expressed his gratitude: “We are humbled and honoured by the trust placed in us by Waitaki District Council. We can’t wait to roll up our sleeves and get to work alongside this wonderful community. We’re proud to take on this responsibility and are committed to ensuring the green spaces of Waitaki thrive for all to enjoy.” Waitaki District Council Chief Executive, Alex Parmley, also shared his confidence in our capabilities: “We’re pleased that our parks and reserves will be cared for by the award-winning capabilities of Green by Nature. Waitaki takes a lot of pride in its natural beauty and our well-maintained Public Gardens.”

We at Green by Nature understand the vital role that well-maintained parks play in the health and happiness of communities. They are spaces where families gather, children play, and individuals find peace and recreation. Our commitment to excellence will ensure that these parks are enjoyed by residents and visitors alike, fostering a sense of community pride and wellbeing. We look forward to working closely with the Waitaki District Council and its residents, embracing the opportunity to contribute to the community’s vibrancy and beauty. Thank you for welcoming Green by Nature into your community. We are excited about the future and committed to delivering the highest standards of park maintenance and care.

Stay tuned for updates as we begin this new chapter on July 1, 2024!
