Turf Related Expertise
SSDM was engaged by Hamilton City Council, to provide turf-related expertise for the staged development of an existsing greenfields site in Rototuna (Hamilton). The Project marked a first of its kind in the city, and sought to develop an 8 Ha pastureland, into a state-of-the-art multifunctional recreational facility for local schools, sports teams and the wider community.
Site Specific Specifications
The principal engineers to the project were Aecom, and SSDM worked in conjunction with Aecom landscape and stormwater design teams, to produce a set of site specific specifications for the development of four soil sports fields, one sand carpet sportsfield, and a proposed artificial (multi purpose) platform.
