At Green by Nature, we take great pride in supporting our long-time friend and partner, Craig.
On October 2, Craig embarked on an incredible challenge to celebrate his 70th birthday. He walked around the UNSW Village Green, completing 288 laps of the 450m track for 24 hours non-stop! This impressive feat amounted to 125 km and 160,000 steps.
Craig’s journey is part of Arc Phil, Australia’s largest student-led philanthropy initiative. This year, the goal was to raise funds to help make kids more comfortable during their hospital stays, assist them in understanding their medical procedures, and ensure they still get to enjoy their childhood—no matter how long or short their stay may be. The funds raised will support the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, specifically the Child Life and Music Therapy team at the hospital in Randwick.
The therapists use music and play to help hospitalized children understand their medical procedures, ensuring they don’t miss out on having a fun childhood. This initiative also provides volunteering opportunities and fundraising activities that allow university students to have fun, feel like kids again, and help raise money for those who can’t.
We had the privilege of joining Craig for an hour on Wednesday to show our support and contribute to this important cause. Together with the generosity of Craig and all the donors, over $18,000 was raised!
We want to give a huge shoutout to Craig for his unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in the community. His efforts inspire all of us at Green by Nature to get involved and support meaningful initiatives.
